The Wismar University of Applied Sciences: Technology, Business and Design is an advanced and innovative education and research institution looking back to over 100-years of academic excellence. It is an International University that is practice and business oriented with over 7,600 students studying both oncampus and through part-time. Every part-time student is officially enrolled at the Wismar University and extensively and individually supported by WINGS (Wismar International Graduation School), a subsidiary company of the Wismar University.
Due to several contacts in Europe, the Baltic region, America, Latin America, Asia and in particular South Africa, a variety of intercultural characteristics can be distinctively found in our research and teaching methods. Currently there are students from all over the world who are participating in our part-time programmes.
With more than 5,000 part-time students, WINGS has become one of the leading providers of part-time programmes for professionals in Germany. The study programmes and certified further education for professionals are offered in the fields of economy, technology and design through which you can gain a higher public education degree such as a Bachelor’s, Diploma or Master’s.
Bachelor graduates with 180 credit points have the opportunity to acquire a further 30 credits in order to be admitted in an additional semester containing the following modules (credits):

Workshops
Once a semester, you will meet with your fellow students for a workshop weekend. Because we are convinced that some topics require personal contact. In this workshops, you will deepen and discuss the topics that you have previously worked on in self-study and with your fellow students; you work on projects, develop concepts and strategies and present them to your study group and lecturers.
Personal study support
Would you like to take a semester off or postpone an exam? No problem. Our study programme coordinators will accompany you during your studies and are available to answer any organisational questions you may have. When it comes to questions concerning the content of your studies, our team of lecturers will support you every step of the way. Call us or send us an email with your request. You can count on us.
Via our Study Appyou always have your studies with you - interactive video lectures and audio films can be accessed online and offline around the clock. This lets you flexible study at any time of day, independent of location and internet. And: If you would like to repeat something, just take a look at the corresponding lecture part again. The study app is developed according to the latest technical standards and individually tailored to the online study MBA International Logistics & Trade. It forms the basis of your entire studies. You can use the app to book your online modules, download module documents as e-books and e-scripts and find out about events and schedules. In addition, you can edit case studies within your group within the platform.
Our online learning platform has a clear navigation structure and can be operated intuitively. In addition to a comprehensive video introduction, you will receive detailed training on the study app at the beginning of your distance learning course. The focus of knowledge transfer is on recorded, interactive online modules and lectures.
In the online lectures you will be taught the essential study contents and a comprehensive exam preparation is offered. The online modules offer the following features:
- Video/sound recordings of the lecturer together with a presentation
- Contents of teaching in chapters
- Test questions/ knowledge test at the end of each chapter
- intensive preparation for the exam via a separate chapter
- Online lectures available as streams via app (online & offline)
- Progress display: current performance status can be called up
Despite didactically well prepared online modules you will have questions and want to discuss them with fellow students or your lecturer. For this we offer at fixed dates live tutorials as video conferences which are led by the respective lecturer. These will be dedicated to specific chapters or topics of the online module according to your schedule. In addition, the dates are used to discuss your case studies. They are recorded and are also available to you as podcasts around the clock.
Asynchronous online study using an online module with chapter-by-chapter test questions and other interactive elements
- Accompaniment of the module by synchronous live video tutorials with a trained tutor (contact instruction)
- Self-study using a didactically prepared learning document and the asynchronous online module with examples / case studies
The online study MBA International Logistics & Trade allows you an above-average high degree of flexibility. But it also places special demands on your self-organisation. All appointments, attendance seminars, exams and online tutorials are part of your schedule, which is available in your calendar via app at any time. To give you an idea of your current performance level, we have integrated a motivating progress indicator for you.
We create the bridge between theory and practice. Our lecturers possess many years of professional experience and will teach you the content that is really relevant to practice. In doing so, you can apply your new knowledge directly on the job the very next day.
Each module ends with an examination. Most of these are written examinations. Alternatively, homework, presentations or project work may be included. Don’t worry: We will prepare you comprehensively for your examinations with interactive video lectures, test assignments, practice examinations and live tutorials.
Good to know: Maximum flexibility guaranteed. You can decide what suits you best: Sit your exams conveniently online - you will be accompanied and supervised by our WINGS examination team. Do you prefer to interact with your fellow students before and after exams? Then why not sit your examination together with your fellow students at one of our 16 examination locations in Germany and Austria.
You feel you’ve got to grips with the material, or should you perhaps watch the lecture again? Review your learning progress with questionnaires and tests – tried-and-tested by our students and found to be highly effective.
A place for your study documents: With the Campus cloud, you have the opportunity to store your personal documents and share them with others.
You have the opportunity to use various online libraries free of charge via the university network, including SpringerLink, WISO-Net, statista, OECD, iLibrary, De Gruyter, HANSER eLibrary.
Like all of our distance learning courses, the MBA International Logistics and Trade is integrated into the processes of the internal quality management system for teaching and studies at Wismar University of Applied Sciences.

The state supports your further education through individual tax relief.
